Scilla madeirensis
A rare, endangered species from Madeira. The large bulbs have deep purple – blue tunics therefor it is worth leaving it above soil level. Tall, dense flower stems appear with the developing leaves in autumn. It will not tolerate low temperatures.

This species grows in SW Turkey and in the Islands of Rhodes, Crete and Kos.

Biarum marmariense
Another little jewel from SE Turkey. This species flowers in autumn and has creamy flowers finely marked pink. This selected clone has particularly large flowers. Excellent for growing in pots.
