Biarum angustatum OP212014
An elegant species growing in coastal Israel and Syria,. It is the first Biarum species to bloom in the region. Flowers are reddish-purple. Spathe is nicely spotted on its outer side.

Another little jewel from SE Turkey. This species flowers in autumn and has creamy flowers finely marked pink. This selected clone has particularly large flowers. Excellent for growing in pots.

This species grows in SW Turkey and in the Islands of Rhodes, Crete and Kos.
Usually in rock pockets and crevices but also in open fields and pine forests.
Tends to form clumps.

Scilla dimartinoi
This showy species is endemic to the Island of Lampedusa. Unlike its well known relative S. peruviana, this species has more compact growth and a large flat umbel on a short stem. Color of the flowers is pale grayish/blue which gives a nice contrast to the deep olive-green leaves with white hairs at the margins.
