Biarum sp. nova – OP220276

Ex. Golan Heights,
This taxon has been described in Flora Palaestina as Biarum pyrami var serotinum. I have been searching for it for a long time to find it back in 2020 in the area of its locus classicus,
I suspected it to be a different, undescribed species, which later Peter Boyes later confirmed it.
It is relatively small, but seeds are unusually large. Differing by most of the Biarum in the region by its size and the fact that leaves are present at flowering time. Seems to form small clumps.
Blooming in November.
First time it produced seeds for me.
